"Aurohn Morning"

In September I was fortunate to spend almost a week painting en plein air with other artists at the Pierce Cedar Creek Research Center near Hastings, Michigan. The weather was perfect every day for us. Having already completed several paintings, when I found this view, the peace, soft light, and music of migrating sand-hill cranes took me to a special place. This painting came easily as a consequence.
